Hier entsteht eine Wissensbasis zu FIWARE als Grundlage für die Entscheidung, als Opendatal teil der FIWARE community zu werden.

Wir könnten versuchen ein FIWARE iHUB zu werden:

Types of ApplicantsOrganizations applying to be recognized as FIWARE iHubs will fall within one of the following categories:

Incubated FIWARE iHub: for organizations that do not have enough experience in FIWARE and/or want to start performing activities as FIWAREiHub.
Established FIWARE iHub: Organizations that have already been running activities associated to FIWARE iHubs but have not yet been recognized as such.

Incubated FIWARE iHubOrganizations that do not have enough experience in FIWARE and/or want to start performing activities as FIWARE iHub can apply for the FIWARE Incubated iHub status.Applicants must present an agenda of activities expected to be performed during the next year. Additionally, the applicant must include a list of resources. The agenda of activities and the list of resources must be similar of a “Basic iHub”.

Das incubated iHub entspricht einem Basic Hub:

Offers teaching and training through dissemination events and it is active at fairs and congresses promoting FIWARE technology where it facilitates the presence of startups and SMEs. Liaising with local industry, it organizes workshops with businessesand associations. It should be a physical venue capable to host and tosupport presentations and hold technical equipment. There should be adedicated FIWARE-branded space with promotion material like brochures, flyers and t-shirts available to visitors.

Folgende Anforderungen müssen zunächst für das incubated Hub erbracht werden:

Danach ist man in einer Punktewertung, wo nach Einrichtung evaluiert wird, ob man dauerhaft ein iHub bleibt.

Für uns käme nur Basic in Frage.

12 Punkte für Center würden wir kriegen z.B. durch Networking mit Firmen (z.B. Bee in Mühlheim) und Disseminetation Events
12 Punkte für School würden wir bekommen durch eine allgemeine Veranstaltung zu FIWARE und eine spezielle, z.B. über CKAN, OPARL etc. pp.
Die 20 Punkte für market sind entweder durch eine größere Sache oder kleinen Aktivitäten zu erreiche, wovon der Besuch bei einem iHub Showroom das aufwendigste bei dem kleinklein Ansatz wäre
Die 6 Punkte für Community sollten leicht erreichbar sein

Ich fände es insbesondere mit Blick auf Utopiastadt Campus interessant, ein Hub zu initiieren, um das Feld von Smartcities nicht komplett kommerziellen Anbietern zu überlassen. Gleichzeitig müssten wir rausfinden, ob FIWARE nicht auch zu stark von Industrie finanziert wird. Allerdings machen da offensichtlich Kommunen mit, so dass es eigentlich passen sollte.
